At Appleby Psychiatry, we believe mental health treatment should address the full picture — not just a diagnosis.
We are a California-based telepsychiatry practice founded on the principle that lasting wellbeing comes from integrating medication management, psychotherapy, and lifestyle coaching into one cohesive treatment plan.
Every patient receives individualized attention. We take accurate diagnosis seriously, spending significant time on history-taking and patient education about symptom patterns and treatment options.
Our approach
We believe strongly in the power of human connection in the healing process. Our visits incorporate CBT, DBT, supportive psychotherapy, and psychodynamic techniques alongside thoughtful medication management when appropriate.
Appleby Psychiatry does not accept insurance, allowing us to provide care that is more individualized and adaptive to each patient's needs. Superbills are available upon request for potential reimbursement.
All appointments are conducted virtually via secure video. Patients must be physically located in California at the time of each visit.
Dr. Amy Appleby is a board-certified psychiatrist who has practiced medicine since 2016. She received her medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and completed her psychiatry residency at Kaiser Permanente Fontana.
Her experience spans outpatient clinics, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, crisis centers, partial hospitalization programs, correctional facilities, and medical hospitals.
